Live Fire Training
Effective July 2004, a Live Fire Training Pre-burn Instructor Permit (below) is required to be completed prior to any department utilizing the Class A burn building for live fire training, either as a part of a Firefighter 1 or Firefighter 2 program or as part of a company drill. This form is now available for download in adobe acrobat format. All forms must be completed prior to conducting live fire training. Contact the fire school with any questions. 203-254-4708. A fee structure (below) is also available for download.
For State Firefighter 1 and 2 certification burns, the Connecticut Fire Academy MUST be notified by the lead instructor so they may observe. Contact the CFA Certification Division with any questions regarding this policy.
